The International Crafts Mela popularly known as Surajkund Mela is going on in Faridabad, Haryana. The 15 days long mela started on 1st Feb 2017 and will go on till 15th Feb 2017. This year the theme state is Chhatisgarh.

Being organised in a huge ground, the mela is a big hit among the visitors. Thousand of people from different places visit the mela everyday. Selected masterpieces of handicrafts are on display for sale.

Mela is a sure paradise for art lovers. From pretty ear rings to marvelous carpets to earthen wares to perfectly carved wooden structures, you find everything here. 

Photography enthusiasts should also visit the mela as you find hundreds of beautiful objects here to try your photography skills at.

They scan your tickets right from your smartphone and it just takes less than a minute in entire check in and security frisking process. 

Haryana Police has made elaborate security arrangements. Throughout the mela ground, you will find police personnel present everywhere. One feels safe. 

Parking is also not a hassle with ample parking space which is well arranged and organised. Though, hundred rupees for parking looked a little high.

There are huge swings as well for kids and elders to enjoy. Swings looked a little unsafe and unprofessional, though.

Food court housing food from various states is another attraction. 

Personally, I would suggest all readers to visit once. It's a wonderful place with serene environment. Those going from Dwarka should take Pali Road which is surrounded by big hills on both sides making the journey to Surajkund itself a memorable experience.
