Yesterday, we happened to visit the Pantaloons situated within the premises of the Radisson Blu hotel in Sector 13 Dwarka New Delhi. Near the billing counter was a map showing the emergency evacuation plan and it showed two Fire Exit doors within the store. When we went around to look for these exits, we were surprised to find that both the doors were chained and locked.
This is a huge compromise with the shoppers' safety by Pantaloons. What good will these locked emergency exits will do in case of fire or something. Probably these doors have been put up just to fool around with the Delhi Fire Department at the time of their regular inspection of the premises.
Will Pantaloons or Radisson Blu take the responsibility in case of any mishap?
